The elegant Tschuppen Blauer Spätburgunder unfiltered from the pen of Ziereisen flows into the glass with bright light red. To the nose, this Ziereisen red wine presents all manner of lilies, mulberries, lilac, lavender and violets. As if that weren't impressive enough, the aging in large wooden barrels adds more aromas like gingerbread spice, cinnamon and whole-nut chocolate.
On the palate, the Tschuppen Blauer Spätburgunder unfiltered from Ziereisen opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Baden, which can be stored well, finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of lilac and blueberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Ziereisen Tschuppen Blauer Spätburgunder unfiltered
The basis for the balanced Tschuppen Blauer Spätburgunder unfiltered from Baden are grapes from the grape variety Spätburgunder. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Tschuppen Blauer Spätburgunder unfiltered are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
