The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli DOCG from Tenuta il Poggione is only produced in the best years and in limited quantities. This Brunello Riserva from Tenuta il Poggione is a dense ruby red in the glass and reveals an elegant bouquet with aromas of red fruits, leather and spices on the nose. This exceptional Tuscan red wine is balanced on the palate, with a persistent, full-bodied taste and firm tannin structure and a beguilingly long finish.
Vinification of the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli from Tenuta Il Poggione
This exclusive Brunello Riserva Vigna Paganelli is a cru of Sangiovese grapes from the oldest vineyard of the same name on the "I Paganelli" estate, planted in 1964. Vines of the highest quality grow on this vineyard, which are selectively harvested one by one; only the best and ripest are chosen for this wine. After manual harvesting, the must ferments on the skins for 20 days. The wine then spends 48 months in large 30 hl and 50 hl French oak barrels, followed by two years of ageing in the bottle. Only then can it be called a "Riserva".
