The Sangiovese and Syrah grapes for this beautiful red wine from Maremma grow in hilly areas near the coast near Bolgheri in Maremma. The vineyards stand on loose, deep and structurally rich alluvial soils. The Mediterranean climate is influenced by the thermal winds from the nearby Thyrrenian coast, with considerable temperature differences between day and night in summer. Cultivation and wine production are sustainable and use integrated organic farming methods.

Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks without any additives or corrections that could alter the original character of the grapes in any way. The wine then matures for 9 months in large oak barrels
