More information about Blauburgunder Riserva - Prackfol
With the Prackfol Blauburgunder Riserva, a first-class red wine finds its way into the well-polished wine glass. It presents itself here in a wonderfully bright, light red color. The first nose of the Blauburgunder Riserva shows nuances of sour cherries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes from barrel aging such as balsamic, forest floor and red currant.
On the palate, Prackfol’s Blauburgunder Riserva opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an exceptionally silky and meaty texture. On the finish, this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region delights with lovely length. Hints of sour cherry appear again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Prackfol Blauburgunder Riserva
This balanced red wine from Italy is vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought quickly to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Blauburgunder Riserva is matured for a few more months in oak barrels.
