More information about Pinot Noir - La Vrille
The elegant Pinot Noir created by La Vrille flows into the glass with a bright light red color. The bouquet of this red wine from the Aosta Valley seduces with nuances of sour cherry. Following the aroma further, notes of red currant, balsamic and forest floor emerge.
On the palate, La Vrille’s Pinot Noir starts off wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly silky and fleshy texture. The finish of this red wine from the Aosta Valley wine region delights with impressive length. Once again, hints of sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the sand-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of La Vrille Pinot Noir
The balanced Pinot Noir from Italy is a varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into sandy soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There, they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled. Maturation in oak barrels is followed by a considerable period of bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It is a perfect companion to stuffed bell peppers, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, or veal top round with beans and tomatoes.
