Vinification of Torre Fornello Bonarda Frizzante

This balanced Italian red wine is made from the Bonarda grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Emilia-Romagna. The vines root deeply in clay soils here. The grapes for this Italian red wine are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness is achieved. After hand harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is then followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendations for the Bonarda Frizzante from Torre Fornello

This Italian red wine should be enjoyed best at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It pairs perfectly with lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, stuffed peppers, or veal sirloin with beans and tomatoes.
