More information about Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna - Ezio Poggio

With the Ezio Poggio Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna, a first-class red wine makes its way into the well-polished wine glass. There it displays a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. The first nose of the Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna caresses with nuances of plum, blackberry, currant and blueberry. Almonds join the fruity hints of the bouquet.

The Ezio Poggio Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna presents itself delightfully dry to the wine drinker. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety, fleshy and dense. The finish of this red wine from the Piedmont winegrowing region ultimately delights with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of Ezio Poggio Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna

This powerful red wine from Italy is a cuvée made from the Barbera and Bonarda grape varieties. In Piedmont, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are taken straight to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.

Food pairing for Ezio Poggio Caespes Colli Tortonesi Terre Di Libarna

This Italian is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, stuffed bell peppers, or boiled veal topside with beans and tomatoes.
