Vinification of the Branu Vermentino di Gallura DOCG from Vigne Surrau
The growing area for this typical Sardinian white wine is located in the north-east of the island; the Vermentino grapes grow on soils with a very high proportion of granite weathered rock, which merge into sandy soils. After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, cooled down due to the warm climate, then alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15 to 18°C.
