A wine that comes from the cold. The Merì Vermentino di Sardegna belongs to the prestige line of the Argiolas winery. The grapes for this delicately aromatic white wine grow on the hills in the south of Sardinia, in Selegas in the Bingia Beccias vineyard, which means old vines in Sardinian. The Merì is made from 100% Vermentino grapes, which are selectively harvested and immediately cooled to 10-12° during the harvest using an innovative process, then gently pressed and naturally decanted, all in the absence of oxygen to protect the must from oxidation. Among other things, this enables a much lower use of sulphites. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place at 16-17° for 15 to 20 days.
