More information about Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Talenti

The powerful Brunello di Montalcino from the house of Talenti pours into the glass with a dense ruby red color. At the rim there is also a color transition towards garnet red. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass. In the glass this red wine from Talenti displays aromas of plums and sour cherries, complemented by mineral notes and vanilla. The Talenti Brunello di Montalcino presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine enthusiast. This red wine never appears coarse or austere, as one might expect in the icon wine segment. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. Thanks to its present acidity, the Brunello di Montalcino reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. On the finish, this well-ageable wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, nuances of sour cherry and plum appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and sand-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of Brunello di Montalcino by Talenti

The powerful Brunello di Montalcino from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Sangiovese grape variety. In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and sand soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally racked. The maturation in wooden casks is followed by a considerable bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Food recommendation for Talenti Brunello di Montalcino

This Italian should ideally be enjoyed at a tempered 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect companion to boeuf bourguignon, red onions stuffed with couscous and apricots, or goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram.
