More information about Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Padelletti
With the Padelletti Brunello di Montalcino, a first-class red wine flows into the swirling glass. It reveals a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. When held at a slight angle, the Bordeaux glass shows a charming garnet-red tone at the rims. Swirling the glass, this red wine reveals great density and richness, which is reflected in pronounced church windows on the glass wall. On the nose, this Padelletti red wine presents all kinds of blackcurrants, violets and sour cherries. As if that were not already impressive, additional aromas such as mineral notes are added through maturation in large wooden casks.
This red wine from Padelletti is perfect for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone-dry. The Brunello di Montalcino comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.9 grams of residual sugar. Powerful and complex, this silky and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its vibrant fruit acidity, the Brunello di Montalcino reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. The finish of this matured red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, more precisely from Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, finally impresses with a remarkable length.
Vinification of the Padelletti Brunello di Montalcino
The basis for the powerful Brunello di Montalcino from Tuscany is grapes from the Sangiovese variety. The wine berries for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness has been ensured. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery immediately. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for 42 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
