The organically produced Ciliegiolo Maremma Poggio Pinzo from Sassotondo flows into the glass with a dense ruby red. On the nose, this Sassotondo red wine shows all kinds of plum, sour cherry, currant, and blueberry. As if that were not already impressive, black cherry is added thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
On the palate, Sassotondo’s Ciliegiolo Maremma Poggio Pinzo opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as wonderfully velvety, fleshy, and dense. The finish of this red wine from the Tuscan wine-growing region ultimately convinces with a beautiful aftertaste. Vinification of Sassotondo Ciliegiolo Maremma Poggio Pinzo
The powerful Ciliegiolo Maremma Poggio Pinzo from Italy is a varietal wine, organically vinified from the Ciliegiolo grape variety. In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of volcanic rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house immediately. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Ciliegiolo Maremma Poggio Pinzo can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 12 months.
