More information about Franze - Sassotondo
With the Sassotondo Franze, a first-class organic red wine finds its way into the well-polished wine glass. There it displays a wonderfully bright, ruby-red color. In the glass, this red wine from Sassotondo reveals aromas of raspberries and blackberries, complemented by forest floor, garrigue, and blueberry. The Sassotondo Franze presents itself to the wine drinker as delightfully dry. This red wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an extremely dense, velvety, and fleshy texture. The finish of this wine from the Tuscan wine-growing region is ultimately captivating with a beautiful length. Hints of raspberry and blackberry appear once again.
Vinification of Sassotondo Franze
The well-balanced Franze from Italy is a cuvée, organically produced from the Ciliegiolo and Teroldego grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
