The Edelvernatsch Alto Adige from Kellerei Kaltern in Trentino-Alto Adige has a bright ruby red color in the glass. The first nose of the Edelvernatsch Alto Adige presents notes of mulberries, blueberries and morello cherries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
The Kaltern Winery Edelvernatsch Alto Adige impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully fleshy and dense on the palate. On the finish, this storable red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of plum and blackberry.
Vinification of Kellerei Kaltern Edelvernatsch Alto Adige
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Vernatsch. Only flawless grapes were harvested for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Kellerei Kaltern. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
