More information about Gewurztraminer - Fontana Graziano
The elegant Gewurztraminer from Fontana Graziano flows into the glass with a bright copper-gold color. This varietal Italian wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of roses and acacia in the glass. These are joined by hints of cloves.
On the palate, Fontana Graziano’s Gewurztraminer starts off pleasantly dry, firm and aromatic. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an immensely silky, velvety, dense and creamy texture. On the finish, this white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige winegrowing region delights with a lovely length. Once again, nuances of rose and acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Fontana Graziano Gewurztraminer
This well-balanced white wine from Italy is vinified from the Gewürztraminer grape variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Gewurztraminer can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees.
Food recommendation for the Gewurztraminer from Fontana Graziano
This Italian wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, leek tortilla or stuffed cabbage rolls.
