Vinification of the Tanca Gioia Carloforte Giancu Vermentino di Sardegna
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Giancu Vermentino di Sardegna blend from Tanca Gioia Carloforte are Vermentino and Vernaccia grapes. In Sardinia, the vines producing these grapes grow on flinty soils. The grapes for this Italian white wine are harvested exclusively by hand after ensuring optimal ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Giancu Vermentino di Sardegna can harmonize further for several months on fine lees.
