Vinification of the Lamùri Nero d'Avola
Lamuri means "love" in the Sicilian dialect. And the love and passion of eight generations of winegrowers has resulted in this elegant, fruity red wine from the high-altitude vineyards of Tenuta Regaleali.
The grapes for this Nero d'Avola from Tasca are grown in vineyards between 450 and 700 meters above sea level. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and the wine is then aged for around 12 months in 225-liter barriques made from French Allier and Tronçais oak, 20% of which are new and 80% of which are second and third passage. This red wine then matures in the bottle for a further 3 months.
