More information about Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino DOC - Carlo Botter

In the glass, the Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino from the pen of Carlo Botter reveals a bright purple-red color. The nose of this Carlo Botter red wine reveals all kinds of blueberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and mulberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in large wooden barrels adds further aromas such as beech smoke, oak and black bread.

This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 3.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. This velvety red wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. With its lively fruit acidity, the Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Apulia, more precisely from Salice Salentino DOC, is impressive with a remarkable aftertaste.

Vinification of the Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino by Carlo Botter

This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro grape varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 6 months of ageing in oak barrels.
