More information about Marzemino - Battistotti
In the glass, Battistotti’s Marzemino shows a bright ruby-red color. The bouquet of this red wine from Trentino-Alto Adige impresses with nuances of violet, blackberry, and raspberry. It is precisely its fruit-driven character that makes this wine so special.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite its dryness, this Italian enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an immensely velvety, fleshy, and dense texture. On the finish, this wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region delights with lovely length. Once again, hints of violet and blackberry appear.
Vinification of Battistotti’s Marzemino
The well-balanced Marzemino from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Marzemino grape. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and concrete at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Marzemino can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees.
