More information about Primitivo Puglia IGT - Mánnara
The intense red color of the Primitivo IGT Puglia from Mánnara resembles a sparkling ruby. The nose is dominated by aromas of red berries, ripe plums and black cherries. It is velvety and warm on the palate, with hints of tobacco and dried fruit. The finish is accompanied by roasted aromas. Overall, this is a beautifully balanced, multi-layered and finely structured wine with an appealing tannin structure, well-integrated wood and a balanced sweetness/acidity ratio.
How the Primitivo IGT Puglia is made
This wine is a single-varietal Primitivo whose grapes thrive on the sandy and loamy soils of the Salento peninsula in south-eastern Italy. The carefully harvested grapes are destemmed, crushed and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks at the Mánnara winery. Some of the wine is then matured in wooden barrels, while the rest remains in steel tanks. Once fully matured, the wine is bottled and sent to us in Germany.
