The Velenosi Roggio del Filare Rosso Piceno Superiore is a first-class red wine. It presents a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in the clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The Roggio del Filare Rosso Piceno Superiore is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The ripening of the grapes for this Montepulciano and Sangiovese wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Marche, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Roggio del Filare Rosso Piceno Superiore is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
