Rosso Toscana IGT - Leonardo da Vinci

The Rosso Toscana from the wine-growing region of Tuscany is a bright ruby red in the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of morello cherry, damson, black cherry and plum, rounded off with oriental spices, dark chocolate and black tea.

This light red wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Rosso Toscana flatters the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this young wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region finally delights with good length. There are again hints of plum and morello cherry.

Vinification of the Rosso Toscana from Leonardo da Vinci

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Sangiovese. Only first-class grapes were brought in for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Leonardo da Vinci. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Once the wine is finished, the Rosso Toscana is carefully harmonized.

Dining recommendations for the Leonardo da Vinci Rosso Toscana

This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to boiled veal with beans and tomatoes, leek soup or pumpkin casserole.
