More information about Sauvignon - Prackfol
In the glass, the Sauvignon from the Prackfol estate shows a dense, pale yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of elderflower and lemon, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
On the palate, the Sauvignon from Prackfol opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Powerful and multi-layered, this crisp and fleshy white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC, delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Prackfol Sauvignon
This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Sauvignon Blanc. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Prackfol. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into limestone soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Sauvignon from Prackfol
Enjoy this Italian white wine ideally well chilled at 8–10°C as an accompanying wine to vegetable stew with pesto, spinach gratin with almonds, or potato pan with salmon.
