More information about Sterpi Derthona 1,5 l Magnum - Vigneti Massa
With the Vigneti Massa Sterpi Derthona 1.5 l magnum, a first-class white wine makes its way into the swirling glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, pale yellow color. The nose of this white wine from Piedmont captivates with aromas of ripe apple, mirabelle plum, lemon and green apple. Following the aromatics further, mint/melissa joins in.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Aroma simply does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the palate, this powerful white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. On the finish, this white wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region thrills with beautiful length. Nuances of lemon and green apple appear again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and gravel-dominated soils join in. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of limestone and gravel. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees, before finally being bottled.
