The Costa Del Vento Derthona 1.5 l magnum from Vigneti Massa in Piedmont reveals a dense, pale yellow color in the wine glass. On the nose, this Vigneti Massa white wine presents all kinds of lemons, ripe apple, mirabelles and green apple. As if that weren’t already impressive, further aromas such as mint/balm are added thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
On the palate, the Costa Del Vento Derthona 1.5 l magnum from Vigneti Massa starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and well balanced. On the tongue, this powerful white wine is characterized by an exceptionally crisp texture. The finish of this white wine from the Piedmont winegrowing region is impressively long. Again, hints of green apple and lemon appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils join in. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
