Syrah Sicilia DOC - Feudo Arancio

The Syrah from Feudo Arancio from the Italian wine-growing region of DOC Sicilia is a pleasing, velvety and pure red wine.

In the glass, this wine has an intense, deep ruby red color. Its rich bouquet impresses with aromas of dark wild berries, cherries and plums. The palate is full-bodied with silky tannins. Opulent aromas of blackberries and raspberries underpinned with fine spice characterize the impression on the palate. The spice is reminiscent of tobacco box and black pepper. Elegant nuances of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme can also be detected. A complex, full-bodied Italian red wine with fine elegance and a delicate mellowness.

Vinification of the Syrah Feudo Arancio

The Syrah grape variety, which originates from the Middle East, finds ideal growing conditions in Sicily due to the soil conditions and the strong sun.

The grapes are harvested when perfectly ripe. After destemming, the must ferments on the skins for 12 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel tanks, after which the Syrah is matured in French barriques for 10 months.
