The elegant Zibibbo Grotta Dell’Oro from Hibiscus splashes into the glass with a radiant golden yellow. This varietal Italian wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of acacia, rose and orange in the glass. In addition, there are hints of minerals.

This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and thus this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this crisp and fleshy white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Sicily, more precisely from Sicilia DOC, ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the volcanic rock-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Zibibbo Grotta Dell’Oro from Hibiscus

This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Muscat d'Alexandrie. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Hibiscus. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Sicily. Here the vines drive their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Zibibbo Grotta Dell’Oro can continue to harmonize for 4 months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for the Zibibbo Grotta Dell’Oro from Hibiscus

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is a perfect pairing with spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, stir-fried vegetables with fish, or pumpkin casserole.
