Poiano - Curto

The elegant Poiano from the Curto estate flows into the glass with a bright golden yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of lemon, grapefruit and acacia, rounded off by further fruity nuances.

This Italian wine captivates with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler categories and thus, despite all its dryness, this Italian delights with the finest balance. Flavor simply doesn’t necessarily need sugar. Balanced and complex, this fleshy and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the Sicilian wine-growing region finally impresses with a beautiful length, once again revealing hints of lemon and acacia.

Vinification of Curto Poiano

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Inzolia. Only immaculate, handpicked grapes were harvested for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Curto. After hand harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house, where they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Enjoy this white wine from Italy well chilled at 8–10°C as an accompaniment to coconut-lime fish curry, leek soup or a vegetable stew with pesto.
