More information about Bramasole Syrah Cortona DOC - La Braccesca

In the glass, the Bramasole Syrah Cortona from La Braccesca has a dense purple-red color. Swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in the clear windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Tuscany is impressive with hints of blueberry, mulberry, blackcurrant and blackberry. If we trace the aromas further, vanilla, dark chocolate and oriental spices are added, boosted by the oak wood influence.

The La Braccesca Bramasole Syrah Cortona is pleasantly dry to the palate. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense, melting and velvety texture. With its present fruit acidity, the Bramasole Syrah Cortona is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, Cortona DOC to be precise, ultimately delights with its exceptional persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the marl and limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Bramasole Syrah Cortona from La Braccesca

This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Syrah grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, clay and marl. Obviously, the Bramasole Syrah Cortona is also determined by more than just the Cortona DOC soil. This Italian can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself in an exceptionally distinguished manner. The fact that the Syrah grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has a considerable influence on the development of the grapes. Among other things, this results in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for the Bramasole Syrah Cortona are harvested exclusively by hand at the point of optimum ripeness, without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Ageing in oak barrels is followed by considerable bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Dining recommendations for the Bramasole Syrah Cortona from La Braccesca

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to lemon chilli chicken with bulgur, chickpea curry or pasta with sausage dumplings.
