On the palate, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly creamy, crisp and melting texture. Mineral notes from the sand and limestone-dominated soil are added to the finish.

Vinification of Castello della Sala Bramìto Umbria

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Chardonnay. Only flawless grapes were used for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Castello della Sala. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Umbria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone and marl. The Bramìto Umbria is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The grapes for this white wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand after optimal ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Bramìto Umbria can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. Ageing in the barrel is followed by considerable maturation in the bottle, which makes this white wine even more complex.

Dining recommendations for the Bramìto Umbria from Castello della Sala

This Italian wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pasta with sausage dumplings, leek soup or vegetable stew with pesto.
