This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Barbera grape variety. The Bricco Boschis Vigna del Cuculo Barbera d'Alba is clearly characterized by more than just the Barbera d'Alba DOC soil. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, with an exceptionally impressive presentation. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
