More information about Chardonnay Altkirch - Kellerei Schreckbichl

The Kellerei Schreckbichl Chardonnay Altkirch is a first-class white wine. It offers a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. This Kellerei Schreckbichl white wine presents the nose with all kinds of papaya, star fruit, jasmine, acacia and cherry blossom. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in large wooden barrels adds further aromas such as oriental spices, green peppers and cinnamon.

The Chardonnay Altkirch from Kellerei Schreckbichl is the right choice for anyone who likes as little residual sweetness in their wine as possible. However, it is never austere or brittle, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Altkirch has a pleasant mouthfeel without lacking freshness. The finale of this white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region delights with an exceptional aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone and sand-dominated soils.

Vinification of Kellerei Schreckbichl Chardonnay Altkirch

This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Chardonnay Altkirch is matured for a few months in oak barrels.

Dining recommendations for the Chardonnay Altkirch from Kellerei Schreckbichl

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to leek soup, lemon-chilli chicken with bulgur or pumpkin casserole
