More information about Chardonnay - Battistotti
The elegant Chardonnay from the house of Battistotti flows into the glass with a radiant golden yellow. On the nose, this Battistotti white wine reveals all kinds of apple, pear, peach and mirabelle. As if that were not impressive enough, the maturation in stainless steel also adds notes of smoke.
On the palate, Battistotti’s Chardonnay opens pleasantly dry, firm and aromatic. Balanced and complex, this silky and creamy white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, finally delights with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of Battistotti Chardonnay
This well-balanced white wine from Italy is vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of ageing on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food pairing for Battistotti Chardonnay
This Italian is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It is a perfect accompaniment to vegetable stew with pesto, pumpkin casserole or spinach gratin with almonds.
