The Chianti Classico aged in barrel from the Tuscany wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in a dense ruby red. In the glass, this red wine from Fattoria Di Rodano reveals aromas of blackberries and raspberries, complemented by forest floor, blueberry and garrigue. The Fattoria Di Rodano Chianti Classico tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety, fleshy and dense texture. The finish of this red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region ultimately convinces with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Fattoria Di Rodano Chianti Classico
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Chianti Classico cuvée from Fattoria Di Rodano is Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. Here the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for Fattoria Di Rodano Chianti Classico
This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompaniment to braised chicken in red wine, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, or fried calf’s liver with apples, onions and balsamic sauce.
