More information about Chianti Classico - Le Masse di Lamole
In the glass, the Chianti Classico from Le Masse di Lamole exhibits a bright ruby red color. This pure Italian wine delights the glass with noble notes of strawberries and raspberries. Additional hints of other fruits follow.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with an unusually low residual sugar content. This is a true quality wine, clearly distinguished from more basic qualities, and naturally enchants with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. Balanced and multifaceted, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this wine from the Tuscany wine region impresses with a remarkable aftertaste. The aftertaste is further accompanied by mineral notes from the sand-dominated soils.
Vinification of Le Masse di Lamole Chianti Classico
This red wine focuses clearly on one grape variety, Sangiovese. Only top-quality grape harvest was used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Le Masse di Lamole. In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow in sandy soils. When physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for the Chianti Classico are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of strenuous and minimally selective grape harvesters. After harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vessels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the elegant Chianti Classico is aged for several months in oak barrels.
