Vinification of Masi Agricola Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 1.5 l Magnum
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. Clearly, the Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 1.5 l Magnum is also influenced by climatic and stylistic factors characteristic of Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. This Italian can truly be called a wine of the Old World, presenting itself extraordinarily impressively. The development of the harvest for this wine from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella is heavily influenced by the climate of the cultivation region. In Veneto, the grapes grow in a warm climate, which is reflected in especially well-ripened grapes and a relatively high must weight. After harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery, sorted, and gently crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 1.5 l Magnum can continue to harmonize on fine lees for 36 months.
