On the palate, Francangelo Salina Malvasia from Punta Aria starts off pleasantly dry, firm and aromatic. Balanced and multi-layered, this crisp and fleshy white wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Sicilian wine-growing region, more precisely from Sicilia DOC, ultimately convinces with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the volcanic rock-dominated soils.
Vinification of Francangelo Salina Malvasia by Punta Aria
The well-balanced Francangelo Salina Malvasia from Italy is a single-varietal, organically produced wine made from the Malvasia delle Lipari grape variety. In Sicily, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on volcanic rock soils. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before being finally bottled.
