More information about Gavi DOCG - Tenuta Del Melo
In the glass, this organically produced Gavi from Tenuta Del Melo presents a bright platinum-yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Italy reveals delightfully elegant aromas of lemon, acacia and ripe apple, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
On the palate, the Gavi from Tenuta Del Melo opens wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. There is dry, and then there is really dry. This white wine belongs to the latter, as it was bottled with only 1 g of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine presents itself as wonderfully silky. Thanks to its pronounced fruit acidity, the Gavi reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, more precisely from Gavi DOCG, finally delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of Tenuta Del Melo Gavi
This balanced Gavi from Italy is a varietal wine, organically vinified from the Cortese grape. After hand-picking, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures follows. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
