Vinification of Peter Zemmer Frauenrigl Gewürztraminer Alto Adige

This powerful white wine from Italy is made from the Gewürztraminer grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
