More information about Marteto Morellino di Scansano DOCG - Bruni
The Bruni Marteto Morellino di Scansano is a first-class red wine in the glass. It displays a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. This Italian blend shows beautifully expressive notes of plums, sour cherries, and black cherries in the glass. Additionally, hints of gingerbread spices, cocoa beans, and oriental spices are present.
On the palate, the Marteto Morellino di Scansano from Bruni unfolds pleasantly aromatic, fruit-forward, and well-balanced. It is dry, truly dry. This red wine belongs to the latter, as it was filled with only 1.8 g of residual sugar in the bottle. Full-bodied and complex, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Its pronounced fruit acidity makes the Marteto Morellino di Scansano extraordinarily fresh and lively on the palate. The youthful wine from the Tuscany wine region impresses with good length at the finish. Again, notes of plum and sour cherry are apparent.
Vinification of the Marteto Morellino di Scansano from Bruni
The base for the powerful Marteto Morellino di Scansano from Tuscany are grapes from the Alicante Bouschet, Sangiovese, and Syrah varieties. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation of 40 months in oak barrels.
