More information about Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina DOCG 1,5 l Magnum - Castello di Nipozzano

The Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum, matured in the barrel from the Tuscan wine region, presents itself in the glass in a bright purple-red, ruby-red color. Slightly tilted, the red wine glass reveals a charming granate-red tone at the rims. By swirling the glass and allowing it to breathe slightly, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. This Italian cuvée displays wonderfully noble and complex notes of blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, and Nashi pear. Additionally, there are hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and black tea.

This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with only 1.6 grams of residual sugar. As one can naturally expect from a wine in the Icon Wine segment, this Italian delights with exquisite balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require much sugar. Due to its vibrant fruity acidity, the Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this well-matured red wine from the Tuscan wine region is ultimately distinguished by a notable aftertaste.

Vinification of Castello di Nipozzano Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum

The balanced Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum from Italy is a cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Merlot, and Sangiovese. The Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 1.5 L Magnum are harvested solely by hand without the aid of coarse or less selective machinery. After harvest, the grapes are immediately transferred to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by several months of aging on fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
