Powerful and multi-layered, this creamy, silky, velvety and dense dessert wine presents itself on the palate. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the sandstone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Picolit Collio Miklus by Draga
The powerful Picolit Collio Miklus from Italy is a varietal wine made from the Picolit grape variety. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sandstone soils. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by several months of maturation on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
