More information about Primitivo Puglia IGT - Palazzo Malgara

The intense, dense, red color of Palazzo Malgara's Primitivo resembles a radiant ruby. A basket full of blackberries, currants, elderberries, and other dark fruits (cherry, plum) fills the nose. A spicy note of cedar and a touch of cinnamon, vanilla, and a hint of rosemary round out the aromas on the nose.

On the palate, this Italian red wine shines with its fruity-warm and floral style. A full, juicy, and velvety body is revealed on the palate. The finish is wonderfully smooth and gentle.

Vinification of Malgara Primitivo

After careful harvesting, the grapes from the Palazzo Malgara winery are destemmed and crushed. The resulting mash is fermented in a stainless steel tank, and the resulting wine is aged for six months in barriques.

Food pairing recommendation for Palazzo Malgara's Primitivo

This red wine from Apulia is an excellent accompaniment to beef roast with butter carrots and mashed potatoes, as well as to spicy cheese varieties.
