More information

The intense, dense red colour of the Primitivo by Palazzo Malgara resembles a radiant ruby. A whole fruit basket full of blackberries, currants, elderberries and other dark fruits (cherry, plum) fills the nose. Spicy notes of cedar and some cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of rosemary round off the aromas of the nose.

On the palate, this Italian red wine shines with its fruity-warm and floral style. A full, juicy and velvety body is revealed on the palate. The finale is wonderfully pleasant and soft.

Vinification of Malgara Primitivo After careful harvesting

, the

grapes of the Palazzo Malgara vineyard are destemmed and mashed. The resulting mash is fermented in a stainless steel tank and the resulting wine is aged in a barrique for six months.

Food recommendation for the Primitivo of Palazzo Malgara

This red wine from Puglia is an excellent accompaniment to roast beef with buttermilks and potato stew as well as to spicy cheeses.
