More information about Regolo Valpolicello Ripasso DOC - Sartori di Verona

The Regolo from Sartori is a first-class Ripasso red wine that pours into the glass with a deep, purple-red color. On the nose, this Sartori di Verona red wine reveals all kinds of black cherries, rum pot, forest fruit jam, fruit bread and mulberries.

The Sartori di Verona Regolo Ripasso delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with only 8.6 grams of residual sugar. As one naturally expects from a wine, this Italian, for all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine presents itself as wonderfully velvety. Thanks to the balanced acidity, the Regolo Rosso Veronese caresses the palate with a pleasing mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time. The finish of this well-ageing red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Sartori di Verona Regolo Rosso Veronese

This balanced red wine from Italy is vinified from the Corvina grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 24 months of maturation in 900 L oak tonneaux. After barrel aging, the wine undergoes extensive bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Food recommendation for the Regolo Rosso Veronese from Sartori di Verona

Enjoy this red wine from Italy best served at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to lemon-chili chicken with bulgur, spicy lamb curry or veal and onion casserole.
