More information about Selezione Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC - Elena Walch
The Selezione Chardonnay Alto Adige from the wine-growing region Trentino-Alto Adige reveals itself in the glass in a bright golden yellow. The nose of this white wine from Trentino-Alto Adige captivates with aromas of acacia, orange blossom, starfruit, and pineapple. Its fruit-forward character makes this wine particularly special.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 3 grams of residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a high-quality wine, this Italian certainly delights with fine balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require much sugar. Through its vibrant fruit acidity, the Selezione Chardonnay Alto Adige reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and lively. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine region, more precisely from Alto Adige / Südtirol DOC, finally impresses with a good aftertaste.
Vinification of Elena Walch Selezione Chardonnay Alto Adige
This wine clearly emphasizes a single grape variety, namely Chardonnay. For this exceptionally balanced varietal wine by Elena Walch, only the best grape material was used. The berries for this white wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness is ensured. After harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and gently crushed. They then undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Selezione Chardonnay Alto Adige is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
