This white wine belongs to the latter group, as it was vinified with only 1.5 g of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Selezione Pinot Grigio Alto Adige presents itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and vibrant. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige winegrowing region finally delights with good length. Once again, nuances of pear and Nashi pear appear.

Vinification of Elena Walch Selezione Pinot Grigio Alto Adige

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Pinot Grigio. For this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Elena Walch, only flawless grapes were used. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is a perfect companion to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, stir-fried vegetables with fish, or asparagus salad with quinoa.
