The Sistina Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo from Citra Vini is the right choice for all wine enthusiasts who like as little residual sweetness in their wine as possible. However, it is never austere or brittle. This velvety rosé wine is light-footed and multi-faceted on the palate. The Sistina Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. On the finish, this youthful rosé wine from the Abruzzo wine-growing region finally impresses with its considerable length. There are again hints of mulberry and plum.
Vinification of the Citra Vini Sistina Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo
This rosé wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Montepulciano. Only flawless grapes were used for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Citra Vini. The grapes for this rosé wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After manual harvesting, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Sistina Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
