More information about Sito Moresco Langhe DOC - Gaja

The Sito Moresco Langhe from the Piedmont wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in a dense purple red. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high level of density and richness, which can be seen in clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. This Italian cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, plums, black cherries and plums in the glass. There are also hints of forest floor and sun-warmed stone.

This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this Italian wine naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. The finish of this red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, Langhe DOC to be precise, is impressive with its remarkable persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone and clay-dominated soils.

Vinification of Sito Moresco Langhe by Gaja

The powerful Sito Moresco Langhe from Italy is a cuvée made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Nebbiolo grape varieties. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay, limestone and sandstone soils in Piedmont. The Sito Moresco Langhe is obviously also determined by the climate and the Langhe DOC wine-growing style. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and is extraordinarily impressive. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place at controlled temperatures.

Wine pairing recommendation for Gaja Sito Moresco Langhe

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with a potato pan with salmon, spinach gratin with almonds or red onions stuffed with couscous and apricots.
