More information about Stravisan Barbera D’Asti - Stella
The powerful Stravisan Barbera D’Asti from the house of Stella flows into the glass with a dense ruby red color. The nose of this red wine from Piedmont enchants with hints of sour cherry. Following the aromas further, blueberry and blackcurrant join in.
The Stella Stravisan Barbera D’Asti presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an immensely fleshy and velvety texture. On the finish, this red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay-dominated soils are also added.
Vinification of the Stravisan Barbera D’Asti from Stella
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Barbera. Only immaculate grapes were used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Stella. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here the vines sink their roots deep into clay soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Stravisan Barbera D’Asti can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 9 months.
