Further exploring the aromatics, notes of Garrigue, Mediterranean herbs, and juniper add to its complexity.
On the palate, the Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum from Cantina Terlan unfolds wonderfully aromatic, fruity, and well-balanced. It is dry, truly dry. This white wine belongs to the latter category, as it was vinified with only 1.7 g of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp and silky texture. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum offers a velvety mouthfeel without sacrificing juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine region, specifically from Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC, impresses with a remarkable aftertaste.
Vinification of the Cantina Terlan Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum
The basis for the first-class and beautifully balanced Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum cuvée from Cantina Terlan are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Naturally, the Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum is also influenced by climatic and stylistic factors of Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC. This Italian wine can truly be described as a wine of the Old World, presenting itself in an extraordinarily impressive manner. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse or less selective machines. After harvest, the grapes are swiftly taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Subsequently, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Terlaner Alto Adige 1.5 L Magnum is further matured in oak barrels for seven months.
